The record for the UK's biggest Pike has been smashed after the previous record was set in 1992 by Roy Lewis at Llandegfedd reservoir, South Wales.
Two decades after the previous record was set, angler Lloyd Watson of Manchester has made history by landing a 47lb 5oz monster at Chew Valley lakes. The British record fish committee have now confirmed that it has indeed broken the previous record of 46lb 13oz.
Lloyd stated that the whopping Pike was caught on a smelt and chopped herring that was bait boated out on a running leger rig.
